What's On

We're so excited to announce our first Supper Club will be held on Friday 1st June.  We'll be celebrating all things British and offering you what we hope is a mouth-watering selection of local and British foods.  Tickets are £35 per person and can be bought here  To whet your appetites here's our menu:

We'd like guests to arrive around 7.30pm and we'll have a lovely Jubilee Spritz waiting for you!

Quaff have kindly recommended the following wines to accompany our supper:

Sussex Goat’s Cheese Roulade dressed with micro salad leaves

A Sauvignon Blanc is a great choice here as it will compliment and enhance the flavour of the goat cheese so we suggest:

Domaine Bergon “Grain d’Automne” VdP d’Oc Sauvignon Blanc, France - £7.99
Pouilly Fume “Les Loges” P.Marchand, France - £14.99

Fillet of Pan Fried Dover Sole

The Chardonnay grape will stand up well to the bright and succulent flavours of the Dover Sole but something crisp and light would be a good choice too:

Carlo Damani Pinot Grigio, Italy - £6.99
Raimat Albarino-Chardonnay, Spain - £7.49
Montagny Domaine Faiveley Burgundy, France - £13.99
Chablis Domaine Vrigneaud - France - £14.99

If you’d prefer a red wine, try one of these earthy reds to compliment the beetroot coulis:

La Picoutine Carignan-Grenache, France - £6.99
Roger Sabon Cotes du Rhone, France - £10.99

Sussex Lamb with a Redcurrant Jus and Mint Foam

A powerful robust red best suits lamb so try:

Campo Flores Organic Tempranillo, Spain - £7.49
Vina Zaco Rioja, Spain - £9.99
Chateau Noaillac Medoc Cru Bourgeois,France £14.99
Chateau Siaurac Lalande de Pomerol, France - £19.99

Victoria Sponge Cheesecake

If you’ve never tried a dessert or pudding wine this is a great opportunity to try it.  A sweet wine with a nice touch of acidity and some lovely berry flavours would work best to compliment the strawberries and cream:

Muscat de Beaumes de Venise, France - half £10.99
Margan Semillon Botrytis, Australia - half £13.99

Of course if you'd like to know more Toby and Fabien at Quaff will be more than happy to help so please do give them a call on 01273 820320.
